US Elections (& Politics) :)

They’re a Hoax again.

I’m so confused

There is something to be said about the tactic to frustrate your opponent to the point they give up. It's pretty effective with all but the dog who bites down and will not let go.

Chicago you’re up next, then NYC….

It’s going to be glorious having Feds and military patrolling our cities !

Constitutionally, CONGRESS, not the President has this power. To that degree, the controversial Insurrection Act of 1807 is unconstitutional.
Tell that to Abraham Lincoln, who invoked it after Fort Sumter when Congress was adjourned. When the Congress elected in 1860 was finally seated much later, it approved all of Lincoln's actions that skated on the edge of the Constitution.

Your statement that the Insurrection Act is unconstitutional has not been ratified by any federal judge at any level. The Lincoln precedent stands today.

D.C. Democrats Are Furious At Trump For Stopping All The Homicides
Democrats in Washington, D.C., are furious — not because violent crime was spiraling out of control, but because President Donald Trump did something to stop it.

A new Washington Post-Schar School poll found that roughly 8 in 10 D.C. residents oppose Trump’s deployment of the National Guard. The poll was conducted between Aug. 14 and Aug. 17 and surveyed 604 D.C. residents with a +/- 4.1 percentage point margin of error.

This outrage was unsurprising, given that the propaganda press peddled the same narrative in recent days. A quartet of so-called journalists at CNN reported on Aug. 14 that a crowd in D.C. was “outraged by federal law enforcement presence.”

One local the outlet interviewed, Mara Lasko, called the presence of National Guard troops “crazy,” before adding that it makes people angry. “And I don’t think they’re actually doing anything productive to make our city a safer place,” Lasko added.

PBS News’ Geoff Bennett reported on how residents are “adapting to life under federal control” as if soldiers were staging a military coup rather than standing guard against thugs.

One protester PBS News interviewed said Trump was “trying to make it less and less safe and make you more and more scared” and that “most people do not want this.”

The New York Times’ Alyce McFadden acknowledged in her recent piece on the protests, however, that the district residents are “overwhelmingly liberal.”

And that’s the point. D.C. is overwhelmingly liberal, which is why these polls and puff pieces don’t actually mean much. Of course statistics showing roughly 8 in 10 D.C. residents oppose the National Guard would sound more compelling if more than 70 percent of respondents weren’t Democrats — whose reflex answer to anything involving Trump...

Me? I never said it was unconstitutional, I’ve never brought the Insurrection act up ?

As far as any comparison to Lincoln, wartime, true civil war with shooting stuff by two armies is not even remotely the situation today

Seriously crime has about a dozen root causes, enforcement is but one.

Are we talking Zero crime or something more realistic?
If the latter, it’s quite possible and reasonably so in many places. It does take local gov support of LE though

DOJ Releases Maxwell Transcript and Audio

In the interest of transparency, @TheJusticeDept is releasing the complete transcript and audio of my proffer of Ms. Maxwell. The transcript and audio are linked below.

And I’m secretly an Arab Sheik and will bestow upon you great riches if you’ll just tell me what I want to hear.

She says Trump didn’t do anything and was a perfect gentleman.

She also goes on to say Clinton was never at the island, which is documented

She has zero credibility and made a deal with Trump to be moved to a summer camp for girls in Texas against DOJ written policy. She’s a convicted pedophile for Christ sakes.

That’s not the “evidence” the FBI holds that we’ll never see.

Pam Bondi transmits thousands of secret Jeffrey Epstein files to be made public
Attorney General Pam Bondi handed over to Congress thousands of pages related to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In a bid to increase transparency after public backlash over her handling of the Epstein files review, Bondi gave the House Oversight Committee the first trove of files on Friday, a spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Mail.

Committee Chairman James Comer plans to make the documents public after review and redaction.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump said that he's the one who told Bondi to give anything and everything to Congress because it would only prove that the Epstein saga is a 'Democrat hoax.'

He also cautioned that there are people mentioned in the documents who 'don't deserve to be' and claimed that Epstein knew 'everybody' in Trump's hometown of Palm Beach, Florida.

The comment raised alarm bells for those already concerned that Trump is preventing the release of the documents because he and his buddies are in the files beyond just a trip here or there on Epstein's private jet the Lolita Express.

Many MAGA fanatics online think that there is a 'cover-up' afoot and have taken their ire out on Bondi, calling for her to be ousted and claiming she is not being transparent.

Trump has stood by Bondi and asked his supporters to accept the findings that disgrace financier and child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide and that no one else would be charged in connection to the crimes.

Meh, send in the troops. The civil war has already started. Local gubermint probably encourages this stuff behind closed doors. Eff them too.
