Quote from Oceanslider's post
The attempts to take down Donald Trump are quite real, and they are having significant consequences for the body politic.

They're coming from nearly every major institution in the United States - from our universities to the media, from academia to the judiciary. It's
happening everywhere.

The real question is, is this really about Donald Trump as a person? Is it really about Trump, with all of his myriad foibles, mistakes, and
craziness? Or is it about something broader?

I would contend that it's about something broader, that the elite institutions in our society have basically decided that if anyone remotely
Right-wing were ever to enter the presidency again, it would be an existential threat to their vision of a utopian future for the United States.

..............

Because of the framework by which our elite institutions work, they conclude with a bizarre delusion that they can't possibly lose to
somebody like Trump. Thus, they are led to believe that they can do anything they want to stop Trump.

After all, according to these people, if the 14th greatest president of all time is running against the worst president of all time, what can't you do
to stop Donald Trump?

End of Oceanslider's post

I think you're right. The quote "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result." comes to mind. They keep doing the same thing over and over, we see failure, We are assuming the expectation of their actions. I think they are getting exactly what they really want a little at a time and it is so small we don't see it or we right it off as nothing changed.

If the rankings were really true, why would they need to do anything. I think the doing nothing (Biden not campaigning) last election was to distract and hide the election fraud they were committing. This is just another attempt at the same thing. It is not about Trump. They don't care if socialism fails again. It is the success of it getting its foot in another door.

First a couple of definitions/clarifications:
1- I'm not a huge fan of Donald Trump the man. He has more than his fair share of warts. I am a fan of his ability to lead and the values he is at least perceived to represent. Right or wrong, he is the only leader currently with enough momentum, inner strength and shear balls to be the torch bearer not just for Republicans or Conservatives but for the common man who this country and most countries depend upon. Like it or not he's the best chance we have right now. With the exception of his poor judgement on the Plandemic, and relying on supposed good people in staffing decisions who turned out to be grifters and outright camouflaged enemies, I believe he did a great job in his first term and hopefully has a more clear picture of whom to place his trust in.

2- "Free Shit" - I don't view or use this term as to solely physical and monetary handouts. I mean it to encompass the wide variety of unearned benefits, embracing the lack of consequences and personal responsibility in ones actions for personal gain, and taking advantage of "the system" to skirt that responsibility and justify bad and even illegal behavior. (example: Student loan I don't have to pay back because "the government" will take care of my personal obligation)

I think most of us would say that we are in the midst of the greatest cultural war in the history of this country. Though one only needs to look around to see that it's truly a worldwide conflict and that we're not yet at the low point of say the UK, Australia or Germany, who are literally hanging by a thread. It's a war that wont end well as we are too far down the path for normal/rational/political/peaceful methods to be effective. They hate Trump not because of mean tweets, but because of what he represents: individualism and critical thinking, personal responsibility, traditional family/Christian values, and calling out the corruption and weakness that has overtaken our country. They are deeply afraid of the roughly 30%-50% of the population that still sees this for what it is and look to Trump as a beacon of hope that their plans can be reversed.

I used to compare our current situation to the cultural shift of the 60's, and some would argue that's where it started. But from FDR through Johnson to Clinton and Barry Soetoro, the liberal cancer was encouraged and allowed to grow to degrade society by weak men in power who understood that it was far easier to provide bread and circuses to the masses once they had a taste of lack of consequences for ones actions, than to try and enforce those consequences. These men weren't leaders, they were mostly just well spoken charlatans. They didn't necessarily have a grand agenda to rule the world, they were simply opportunists and cons who took advantage of natural human weaknesses and ignorance on a grand scale to personally enrich themselves by fraud & lying and giving out increasingly more "free shit" to pacify the population.

Those who embraced the cancer, the slow drip of the lack of need for personal responsibility and consequences, who gladly took the handouts and worshiped at the alter of decadence, who voted based on personal enrichment instead of societal harm/benefit, along with the spiritually weak and willfully ignorant, are the pawns who enabled the charlatans to thrive.

Our own government, as well as Western Europe, is now run completely by the disciples of those charlatans and the offspring of the decades old weak masses who gorged themselves on the "free shit" and have come to view it as "normal" and essential to their very existence. Every single agency/commission/branch of US government, including the last hope, the Judiciary, has been infiltrated and dominated by these mentally and spiritually weak cowards and they will do anything to keep their grift going and the "free shit" tap open. It's not simply "incompetence" as we'd like to believe that is destroying every institution from education to science, to Marriage/family, to the legal system to finance, it is a subsidized, incentivized, willful act.

But I sense that this time is slightly different. They have taken advantage of those decades of erosion of the family, personal responsibility and traditional Christian values, and are using that for a more radical agenda. There is now I believe, a clear and concerted effort by those who pull the strings in the shadows (examples: WEF/WHO , US IC, Gates, Soros, Blackrock, and those who control Biden) to not just sedate the masses for personal gain, but to forcefully destroy whats left of the former America and traditional Western society. It cannot be allowed to exist in its current form as that doesn't permit the complete power/control/central planning world they so desire. The current illegal immigration "crisis" is simply a tactic to flood the system with 3rd world bodies who will gladly take advantage of the "free shit" handouts, vote as they're told, and help overcome the numerical threat of those 30%-50% holdouts. From their perspective, this is the final battle, the winner take all endgame. Trump wont be allowed to lead, and those who support him, or more correctly what he stands for, wont, indeed can't be allowed to prevail no matter the cost to society.

There it is right there: "forcefully destroy what's left of the former America"

It's no longer a political game of one-upmanship or a chess game of selectively applying the Constitution. It's about to be a full on tearing down the hearts, minds, souls and will of the American people then building it into their dystopian nightmare. What's going on with Trump and his supporters is quickly becoming the look of a cornered animal with a death knell of America soon to follow.

How many people here trust Gabbard as VP? She is the only one on that list who I question could possibly morph into a left of center President.

I trust DeSantis but as I’ve said, I’d rather keep him here ;). I like Byron Donald’s, and though not on the list, my #1 would be the next likely Governor of N Carolina Mark Robinson

Agree Tulsi could turn out to be a Trojan horse
