One of the reasons many foreign countries have smart students is because they are strict. Education is about education not dei and crt. Most of the nations that we draw from, the kids wear uniforms with a tie to school.

Oh, but its not FAIR to Americans! Everyone here wins a prize..oh wait, if we bring new talent in...they might not! They might ACTUALLY have to work hard, study hard and LEARN. God forbid!
Employers don't always use H1-B visas for the right reason... local talent won't be as subservient.

Just watch the above video and skip to any part of the video and see how complex the stuff they are trying to solve and also notice there are very few americans.
The reason is there is not enough talent available locally within USA. These jobs are very high paying jobs, yet no talent available here. They are all coming from India, South Korea, China and few from Europe.
So people going after Elon or Vivek have no idea where they both are coming from. But yes H1B has been abused by other greedy companies that just offer services. Which Vivek explains in the video.
But Elon, David Sack have been asking for higher H1B but the one that is based on merit or talent that is not available locally. Basically they want to Brain drain the rest of the world.
Elon also said STEM/college degree doesn' t matter to his companies but what matters is whether they have the skill set.
H1B entry into the US requires a mandatory Stem degree.
So at least in his companies a college degree is not a requirment for American citizens. But is required for H1B due to laws. So if they are still not being able to find talent, something is seriously wrong in our system.
China is currently ahead in AI, Robotics, EV, manufacturing and are ahead in hypersonic weapons and have caught up in everything else. The kids there vs US have different priorities and Vivek is 100% right.
Vivek also has said the same since 2023 from his campaign trail. He always said "The H1B lottery system needs to be replaced by actual meritocratic admission. It’s a form of indentured servitude that only accrues to the benefit of the company that sponsored an H-1B immigrant. I’ll gut it" and “The people who come as family members are not the meritocratic immigrants who make skills-based contributions to this country.”
He also correctly predicted months back that there will be two branches of America first moment, one is to cut off all imports from china and rest of the world and also cut off legal immigration and make everything here which he calls the protectionist wing and the other is getting away from china but using allies to supplement (with the limited time frame and growing debt) and then allowing high skilled legal immigration based on how it advances US interests but with usual caveats he talks about. This is he says is the libertarian wing of America first.

My opinion is: All of them after JFK were strictly CIA/Democrat sock-puppets. LBJ and WJC were alike in being corrupt as hell behind the scenes. LBJ was the biggest asshole of them all. Jimmy Carter was so far out of his element, his administration was very much like Obama's and Biden's, run completely from behind-the-scenes by the Democrat party. JFK was unlike all the others, because he wanted to destroy the CIA and the Deep State.
