US Elections (& Politics) :)

Isn't that special? The Canadian gubermint is worried about the American working class. See y'all, they are the nicest peeps those Canuks.

There’s a strong effort going on right now in Florida by the Left and this is just another small piece/indicator.

DeSantis, the country’s best Governor by a mile, is term limited out in 2026.

Because of the number of immigrants moving here from socialist left wing states like NY, Mass, Great Lakes areas, Florida has turned Purple. The only thing keeping it Red frankly is DeSantis.

The socialist liberals in the legislature have literally changed party’s, ran as Republicans and now control the FL house. They are and will as expected, turn it into a shithole like everything else they touch. Parasites.

Susie Wiles, Trumps poor pick as his Chief of Staff, is part of the movement. Read up on her, but she and DeSantis are enemies, she’s in bed with Truelieve a pot company who wants to make rec pot legal here, and replace farmland with pot. They also pushed back, unsuccessfully on deporting illegals so that big Ag could hire illegal (cheap) labor. They lost the vote to do this last election and She’s an evil bitch.

She convinced Trump to suppprt Byron Donalds for Governor in 26 vs Casey DeSantis. It will likely be a bloody fight. Look up Byron Donalds record. He is made for TV, misses more votes than anyone in history, has no ideas of his own, lies to his mother and is a liberal piece of shit in sheep’s clothing.

This switching partys to hide their liberal garbage initiatives is happening in a big way here and in Texas. It’s a calculated planned tactic. Most voters are stupid, just how it is, so they’ll continue to vote straight R ticket and wonder a year later why we became a Blue state.

It’s a huge problem. Liberals are snakes and will eventually destroy our state like they have so many others. They truly are a cancer

Wait until the America hating leftist judges in DC put a stop to this.

Had no idea about Byron Donalds. Thought he was a real Trumper.

I'm not big on wives or children to run for office under the name of their husband/father. Therefore I'm not big on Casey DeSantis. You see this kind of stuff in third world countries all the time and certainly enough of it here.

Agreed, but in this case I'll make an exception. Donalds is a well spoken version of Kamala. He;s a New Yorker who moved here to run as a Conservative
No real policy of his own, he does what he's told to do.
He's an empty suit and will be a disaster for our state. He wouldnt even make 5% if Trump hadnt endorsed him.

There are a few others and Gaetz, who Im not a real fan of but would hold my nose and vote for over Donalds.

Dang! Gaetz would be a crazy ride and entertaining I'm sure.

p.s. If I don't see any real hate from the left then I'll believe you about Bryon Donalds. LOL. I do recall he was a Tea Party type of guy back in the day.

The Atlantic “Backpedals” on Hegseth Hit Piece as “Hoax” Falls Flat on Its Face

In yet another major win for President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Defense, Army veteran Pete Hegseth, it is emerging that the story published in The Atlantic about a supposed group chat in which “war plans” were shared was a “hoax,” as there were no war plans shared in the chat, which is just what Hegseth said to discredit the story from the start.

For reference, The Atlantic’s Jeffrey Goldberg, the magazine’s editor-in-chief, released an explosive report in which he claimed to have been added to a group chat in which Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and other top Trump Administration officials discussed “war plans.”

Hegseth quickly told the media that the allegations from Goldberg were false, as no one in the chat was texting about “war plans.” He said, “As I also stated yesterday, nobody’s texting war plans, and that’s all I have to say about that.” Adding to that, Hegseth noted, “I know exactly what I’m doing, exactly what we’re directing, and I’m really proud of what we accomplished, the successful missions that night and going forward.”

Initially, The Atlantic tried defending its reporting by releasing screenshots of the supposed messages. Those were soon examined, and readers discovered that none of them involved the supposed “war plans” discussed by the Trump Administration officials; rather, they mainly showed those officials being annoyed with America’s NATO allies for not pulling their weight.

Also commented upon in the chat, which is what Goldberg used as the basis for his claim that the “war plans” were discussed, was the then-imminent bombing of Houthis, which was far from a discussion of “war plans.” And so The Atlantic changed its headline to “Here Are the Attack Plans That Trump’s Advisors Shared on Signal,” which more accurately reflects what Goldberg claims to have seen, and were plans that were widely known outside the chat.

X political commentator Eric Daugherty, sounding off on The Atlantic and commenting on its new headline in a post on X, said, “ THEY’RE BACKPEDALING! The Atlantic just sent out an update report CLARIFYING that there WERE NO WAR PLANS exchanged in that Signal chat… they were (as we all saw) some discussion on the Houthi strikes that Americans knew were coming.”

Continuing, Daugherty said, “This hoax totally fell on its face! They added additional messages in today’s release, but there is nothing new. There are endless holes in what was supposed to be a HUGE outrage. – No classified info – Signal was approved for use by the Biden admin – No “war plans” were discussed.” Watch Hegseth hammer The Atlantic here:

Watch his ads. Every one I’ve seen is taking credit for DeSantis initiatives. It’s gotten to be a joke on X. He posts about some great policy that happened in Florida due to DeSantis, and everyone piles on in response and says “Thank You Ron DeSantis!”
Trump/Susie hate DeSantis.

Spin

No they didn’t spread out maps and provide coordinates but this is 2 hours before the strike.
It was a major clusterfuck. That shouldn’t be written off just because it was our team.

Elise Stefanik’s Nomination by Trump for UN ambassador was pulled by Trump because Trumps horrible pick to endorse in Florida is losing in polls to a Democrat in a +30 Trump district.
He had to pull her nomination because the House margin is so thin we can’t afford to lose another seat.

I'm not happy with Trump regarding his continued pissing on DeSantis. Trump sees him as the other alpha male in the room and just can't accept it.

I love Trump.
But nobody does EVERYTHING well.
Picking candidates to endorse is not his strongest attribute
What he perceives as "loyalty" is super important to him. I understand not wanting to be thrown under the bus but loyalty is overrated. Someone loyal to me who is wrong I'm gonna flat out tell them they are wrong. Guess I'm the one who is not loyal. LOL.

TDS and MDS combined.

I'll just leave this here if you need a good laugh.

I can't understand why nobody wants to find out HOW or WHY this happened. The left wants you to think Hegseth personally added the press traitor to the distribution list. The right wants you to think it was just harmless small talk. If Hegseth actually did or ordered this, then I'd agree with hanging him out to dry. What if it was done by one of the incompetent government workers who can't be fired? Or a DEI hire? Or somebody paid off by the atlantic to do it? I just think the problem should be identified before the solution is applied.
