Canada orders Chinese surveillance camera manufacturer Hikvision to suspend operations
Industry Minister Melanie Joly said the Canadian government issued an order against Chinese surveillance camera manufacturer Hikvision to close for national security reasons.
"The government has determined that Hikvision Canada Inc's continued operations in Canada would be injurious to Canada's national security," Joly wrote on X.
The U.S. has expressed concerns with Hikvision over its use of equipment from China's Xinjiang region, which is the basis of reports of abuses against the Uyghur population, according to Reuters.

This feels a lot like his first term. The one where he was surrounded by RINOs who were bending his ear on what he should do. He's being advised of all the thing "he can't do and why he can't". All those making bucks off of cheap labor are raising hell. There's no reason in the world why there can't be a registry and requirement for a "guest worker" program for green cards good for 6 months or a year or whatever. And it's a great way to figure out who is here and if for legit reasons.
