USA 5.1.4 Beta Firmware Available

5.1.6 Firmware Quick Overview with screenshots.

I've attached a word file with a quick overview of some of the new features with corresponding screenshots.

Interesting that the new events are intended (face det, traversal plane, intrusion det). You would have thought Hikvision would be shouting from the rooftops about the new functions. I had thought they were reserved for the new smart product range, not us 2032, 2732 etc owners.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. I'll be testing those features within the next couple weeks to see if they actually work.

5.1.6 came on my dome last week. I haven't tried that new stuff out, but hopefully these features work better than motion detection, because with it set to standard at 80 or 60, it is still pretty much recording continuously. And, whatever happened to 1% adjustmentments for detection? Other features have a slider with precise adjustment and allow typing in a number ...

Somewhat unhelpfully, there are 2 5.1.6 firmwares. I don't know why Hikvision didn't choose a different version number. Make sure it's the one from the last few days as my initial impressions are that this works much better than the old 5.1.6.

The latest is build 140612, the one from before this is 140412... as displayed in SADP.
Also, the release notes are now up on the US FTP.

Absolutely. As far as I know, the 140612 build was only available since 30 June 2014, so if you haven't grabbed it in the last few days you have the old one.
