Use PoE Switch or not

I'm planning to install Q-See 8 channel with 6 cameras. I've asked a few installers and all have recommended using a PoE switch. Whatever I've read, it says that avoid a PoE switch altogether. Are there any pros/cons that someone can outline for using a PoE switch.

I assume this a POE NVR and/or the cams are POE-capable?

No cons. Unless the cameras are not POE-capable or you select a POE switch that doesn't meet the required power budget now and does not allow for some expansion up to it's physical port limit.

To me, one of the bigger PROs to using a PoE switch is that it gives you flexibility in where you locate your NVR. If you don't use a PoE switch, then all of the cameras' ethernet cables will have to be wired into the room where you have your NVR. If you use a PoE switch, you can locate that wherever (smart closet, garage, etc) ... wire all of the cameras to that ... and then your NVR can go wherever you want it (assuming the location has an ethernet jack for it).
