I searched around for several months trying to find a way to automate modifying my Hikvision camera image settings at dawn and dusk. With help from mcx, I was able to find the necessary functionality in Blue Iris. I wrote a procedure at the end of the following thread that details how to use cURL and Blue Iris to automate this task for Hikvision cameras. The procedure is rather specific to Hikvision cameras, but I'm sure it could be modified for use with other brands. (It may have to be modified to some extent with Hikvision cameras due to differences in firmware.) The key for me was finding the Blue Iris functionality to run a program or execute a script at dawn and at dusk.
