I've just rolled out a site with 10 x DS-2CD2386G2-ISU/SL and a 16 channel 7616NI NVR. Really nice, really impressed with the technology.
The cameras have speakers built in, but they aren't great for outdoor use. However, there is a line out so I imagine this could be used with outdoor horn speakers of some sort.
In that scenario, I can already see how I could communicate via an individual camera. But is there a way to "broadcast" audio to several or all of the cameras at the same time? For example it might be a safety announcement, or a paging request sort of thing.
There are other IP based solutions to this problem, I could use SIP based speakers or some other public address system, but it would be cool if the capability were available "in the app" so to speak.
