I had reinstall the netgear firmware. I can access ftp on the router using winscp on my computer.

The link is ftp:/readyshare.routerlogin.net/shares/ which can't be used on the camera setting so I use 192.168.0.250 (router lan ip)

Still get the message "Failed to connect to server" when click test. What should I do next? (the whole system is not connected to internet)
1. camera screen, please attach complete screen
2. check ftp server error log if any ( if no log, test by setting up ftp server on your pc )
3. most likely directory structure is in error
4. start with "Use Level 1 Directory"

Here is the screen

I set to lvl 1 directory. It said "failed to verify permission".

I setup ftp on window. The physical path is D:\ftptest which is unable put on the camera. What should I use for the path?

I'll search how to use ftp error log after work.

You have User Name set as adnin, is that what you intended? If not, then it should be admin.
I meant to use admin. I've been going back and forth between using a using a username or leave it blank. I checked, it said "test failed, the user has no write permission." The storage path I copy from winscp since the router doesn't show what it is.

I just realize you said to use wincvs. I searched ftp client and thought winscp is what you ask me to use. Is this wincvs? CvsGui - Downloads

The directory is from winscp.

I jsut do a quick scan on the camera using nmap. Is port 21 supposed to be there?
