Viewing motion detection event

I have one Dahua NVR5216-16P-4KS2 nvr and eight Dahua IPC-T5442TM-AS cameras.

I have video detection setup. When viewing the cameras directly from the NVR I can see two small people figures displayed in the lower left corner of the picture when there is motion. This does not show up when viewing this on Internet explorer and the playback on Internet Explorer shows no event entry on the bottom of the screen but I have no problem playing the video.

What did I miss in the setup?

Thanks to c hris527 problem solved. I didn't have it set to record.
