Viofo A229 Pro FRONT camera rotation?

I have a Viofo A129 Pro and thought I'd upgrade during the Black Friday sales to the A229 Pro. The A129 Pro allows you to rotate the image for mounting on the dashboard instead of the windshield. I cannot find the same settings on the A229 Pro. There are rotation settings, but they are specifically for the interior camera and rear camera - no rotation settings for the front camera, which makes no sense. The whole reason I buy the Viofo brand is because they mount so easily on the dashboard. So am I missing something, or did they really remove this basic feature from the A229 Pro?

Well. They did get back to me today. They confirmed that the A229 Pro DASH cam cannot be installed on a DASH... They say this is because the GPS won't work properly if installed that way. Even though the GPS on my A129 works just fine mounted to the dash and allows rotation... My windshield has a gray area in the top middle to prevent sun from making it hard to see the mirror, so mounting on the windshield is not a good option. The cam would have to be significantly offset from where the mirror is, too far into the field of vision. It cannot go behind the mirror. Returning the A229...

This is interesting. After I told them I would have to return the camera, they sent me a version of the firmware that has the camera rotated. It's hard-coded that way - not selectable from the menu - but I will likely keep it.

I purchased the A229 Pro and had it hooked up and the back camera was having issues, so I updated the firmware on the body and rear camera. After updating it, the front camera is upside down!
I think the OP's edited firmware was put into the main branch?

Anyone else update their software and have this issue?

I purchased the A229 Pro and had it hooked up and the back camera was having issues, so I updated the firmware on the body and rear camera. After updating it, the front camera is upside down!
I think the OP's edited firmware was put into the main branch?

Anyone else update their software and have this issue?

I downloaded and updated my A229 Pro Firmware from the Viofo website yesterday and the video is right side up, no problems. Looks like your rear cam firmware is not what I downloaded, so I would look at that.

They just sent me updated firmware to the latest version with the image rotated, so pretty good support from Viofo. I don't understand why they don't just put it in the menu like they used to, but at least they fixed the problem for me.
