Some of you may have seen my thread here about Vista 20P Shopping List which has some nice information contained.
I'm now at the point of programming the Vista 20P and want this thread to be a help for me and future visitors the best practices and processes of finishing trimming the hardware, panel and programming.
Currently I have all of the keypad, door contacts, motion detectors and sirens wiring going into the Vista 20P with a big service loop in the attic space above the panel. There are a handful of wireless window contacts as well.
What now? I see there are several Worksheets within the manual for Zone Programming, Function Key Programming, Output Relay/X-10 Programming, and worksheet for schedules. Do you organize all of this stuff now so that when you hop into programming everything that you just follow your worksheets? Do you even use these worksheets or do you organize everything in a spreadsheet? What have you found useful or even better what have you found not useful? Any tips or tricks you would like to share?
