probably bad motors or connections...its a D1 camera and not worth your time...Someone brought me a vivotek sd8111 and the pan /tilt is not working. I am not really familiar with this brand I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem or if anyone has any suggestions.
The specs indicate that the camera is D1 resolution - 704x480. Its not worth repairing or spending any money on it.Thanks fenderman, I told him I'd help him out if I could.
I guess just the pan that doesn't work as when I reset it, the tilt kicked in.
The moter looks pretty straight forward but googling the numbers stamped on the top gave no results.
What is D1?
you dont need to hook it up to an nvr, just the network and you can try panning via the web interface.Oh ok, got it.
No, I don't hear any noise from the pan moter when I power up the camera just tilt. I haven't tried to manually pan as I hav not tried hooking it up to my NVR yet.
Right, I didn't even think of that. I will hook it up tommorow and see what happens and I'll report back with my findings.you dont need to hook it up to an nvr, just the network and you can try panning via the web interface.
What is the IP address of your router?I'm having trouble finding the ip of this camera. The manual state's default is 192.168.0.1 so I reset the camera multiple times, set my adapter to a static IP of 192.168.0.111 and tried to connect via Internet Explorer but got nothing. I tried using vivoteks ip software called shepherd and came up empty. Any suggestions on how to find this cameras IP?
That is why you cannot connect...there are several threads that explain how to do it. Your devices need to be on the same subnet.10.1.10.1
