VTH1550CH connects VTO but not cameras (SIP firmware)

I have added a "setIPC" command to DahuaConsole, and it effectively adds the camera to the config:

Cool stuff, one of the reasons why I publish that code - just to let anyone have control and modify as you want in your own devices.

I know current code are not so easy to navigate and modify/add stuff, but it will be much readable and easier for that in next commit, still working on that (and some new stuff).

You are absolutely right, bashis!
But VTH1550 gen1 is outdated and there is no more support from dahua's side for it.

All you could try is to upgrade it to the latest firmware I found: General_VTH1550CHW-2_Eng_SIP_V4.300.0000002.0.R.20210720
Maybe you're lucky and the fault has been fixed in this one.

bashis, the DahuaConsole code is very helpful thanks for publishing it. Adding changes is not that bad, the code is pretty clean so that's fairly simple to copy/paste/change an existing function to create a new one.

I found a solution: I need to add the camera on the VTO and then it appears on the VTH !
I connect DahuaConsole to the VTO, run my setIPC command (which adds the camera to VTHRemoteIPCInfo), and the camera appears in the VTH config and is accessible from the VTH screen.
And it's funny because I have found this solution by accident: I run the setIPC command while thinking I was connected to the VTH but I was connected to the VTO.

Ok, as mentioned: "hacking" VTO's config might be a workarround for this bug.

Thanks for your tests. On my side, I updated the VTO to the latest firmware and still have the problem. But as you found out the problem comes from the VTH, and I think I have the latest VTH1550CH firmware (4.300.0000000.8.R.20190316), so it looks like I am stuck. I will try to snoop the network to see if I can just block requests to the SIP server related to cameras.

Hi Alex I have a question regarding the vto2000. Since it ain't available anymore can we replace it with the new vto2202 and would it work with the vth1510 effortlessly

Just gave it a shot with my VTH1660 (same fw binary like your VTH1510) and VTO2000A (latest fw from july '21). No problem.

Did you try to add the camera's config again with DahuaConsole or another hack?
If they are visible in the config just like they were before, can the camera's be viewed?

Please could you share the latest firmware for vth1510 and advise if the vto2000 can be replaced with the new vto2202 and would it work with the vth1510 effortlessly
