Want 'mirror' pc display to smart tv

I have an older desktop pc - intel i-5, Nnvidia GeForce GXT 560Ti...running windows 10. Blue Iris is installed and controls 4 ip poe cameras on this pc.

I bought a 24" samsung smart tv hoping to view the cameras (as shown on my desktop)..with the ability to move the small tv from room to room when necessary....so not wanting to use wires.

I like using Miracast from Windows 10 on my newer laptop to the tv so I was hoping I could do that on the desktop however...

The pc is connected directly to the router with an ethernet cable.... so I tried adding a wireless adapter to the desktop for this purpose but I find now that Miracast is not support on this desktop. :(

What would be the best way to accomplishing mirroring to this tv?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I've never used Miracast, but maybe your desktop just needs windows updates applied.

Miracast on existing wireless network or LAN

The above suggests you won't need the wireless adapter on the desktop; it should work straight through your existing LAN as long as your TV is connected to wifi.

Thanks for the suggestions - My Windows version is 1703... but the connect button still says my device (my pc) does not support miracast.

I'm still reading through the article from your link bp2008 in hopes of finding an answer - - the article talks a lot about a Surface Hub (?) which is rather confusing for me. As for desktops it just keeps repeating "the Windows PC must be connected to the same enterprise network via Ethernet or a secure Wi-Fi connection". What is an 'enterprise' network?

Thanks again for trying to help me. I'll work on it again tomorrow....appreciate any additional info that may help.

@Tinman talked about this on his Samsung back in March of last year, post #28 ==>> here.
It includes using new UI3 files from @bp2008 and telling BI webserver (I believe) to require authentication for non-LAN only.
