There's a lot of negative talk about SMR drives so I just wanted to mention it so it's not overlooked.

I'd avoid SMR and get the good old CMR ones. SMR is trash.
I have 2x WD Red 3TB CMRs and they are still solid 7 years later.

Buy SMR junk at your own peril.

Stick with CMR. That was a dirty trick WD had up their sleeves. Glad it got public backlash
