Web Server Alert retention

The left column (when viewing a camera via the WebServer in BI) shows 7 days of alerts. Is this configurable. I know I can just view via clips, but it would make it easier for some users if I could stretch it out a little. Right now, I am viewing the Web server remotely. This is a pilot with only 1 camera.
Thanks,
Lou

Yes, the clips and archiving under alerts uncheck limit to 7 days.

Thanks, will try to remote in tonight to check.
There is no checkbox for alerts, clips already unchecked. Clips last "forever", alerts is 7 days. Still having the other 2 problems.
1. Playback of recent alert (via alert or clip) sometimes freezes 3 to 4 seconds into recording. Won't play back properly until after the next alert.
2. Sometimes does not store the 3 second pre trigger buffer, even though FPS and iFrame are both 15. I can live with these, BI is an extremely powerful program. When we roll out, most cameras will full time record anyway.
Thanks again,
Lou

You need to uncheck the 7 days under alerts. Nothing is stored in the alerts folder anyway unless you store hi res alerts which is unnecessary.
1- are you recording to bvr format?
2- likely your settings are not sensitive enough so its not triggering right away
Ensure you dont have smart codec or 264+/5+ selected in the camera video settings.

1. Yes
2. Don't think so, same person tripping same area, different results. Happens seldom enough I am not going to pursue it. Another argument for full time recording.
I find no place for alert retention, maybe I flunk "following directions 101". See screen shot.

Yes you have flunked the course. You need to click on the alerts folder in that screen shot.
Blue iris uses time, pixel area and contrast for motion detection. If not setup properly as in your case it is easy for the same person to cause trigger/no trigger variations.

Thanks, will do. I also see an update for the web server that may fix my freeze problem. Probably wait until I go on site, 50 miles away. The system does not have Internet access. I need to renew the BI support as well.

Did better 15th time around. Now unchecked.
Edit: Thank you very much.
