It was getting pretty bad in Verdi (10 miles west of Reno). Was advised by fire offical's you might want to put together the 'Oh shit' bag. Photos don't convey how bad it got. First one a normal sunny day, the second one two days ago. For far, things looking good, prevailing winds blowing fire east.View attachment 69023View attachment 69024
prevailing wind are usually west to east. when it started, if it was blowing north to south, might have been screwed. area difficult to fight a fire. would have come straight at us. Was up on Pevine today, air almost unbreathable.View attachment 69071
60% contained. That's a good thing. I'm over in Reno-Stead. You are what... 10-15 miles front the red front fire line, DRZ?
