Will the regular purple drive work ok with Blue Iris 5? Should I go with the purple pro one?

For what it is worth, I personally have 2 WD Purple drives in my BI machine and have experienced no issues whatsoever.

4TB basic Purple checking in, recording 24/7/365 with several Dahua cams, over one year in use with no issues.

The pro isnt as quiet as the standard in my small experience. your mileage may vary.
I have the 4 TB in the NVR. very quiet.
I have the 8 TB ( non Pro in the Condo BI- NVR) not a peep.
and i have the 8TB Pro in my desktop computer. It's ok, but you can hear it a little bit, working away.
