What happened to Live Cams Pro on iOS?

I also use BI & their App. My issues is my non-blue iris NVR cameras at a remote location - wish I could view those through the BI App. :(
You could if you had a BI server there and streamed the NVR to it. Then of course, the NVR would be redundant. :idk:

I have been trying them all for IOS, and they are all terrible compared to Livecams pro. Not sure what I'm going to do.

IP Cam Viewer Pro has been the best, but the frame rates are poor and the interface - horrid.

revisiting more than a year later.

IP Cam Viewer Pro although not perfect is the best I could find in the iOS app store.

I also found that timycam pro is the best for Andriod and fire-TV platforms. At least for my needs.

Hey everyone, just found this thread on the web and registered so I could speak to the group....

We ran out of money in 2013 and I funded the development out of pocket at a loss for the next 6 years just to keep people happy while I could. Sadly we also had some family health issues making it stressful and challenging. I found another full time position in 2015 to make ends meet and closed the books on the business in 2019.

Unfortunately I couldn't make the source code public because it contained a ton of proprietary logic for drivers that were under various NDA agreements with manufacturers. I recommended that people look at IP Cam Viewer Pro and Tinycam as alternatives.

Thanks for all of your support over the years! I really enjoyed creating something that people found valuable and practical, although I struggled with all of the personal attacks that come with being online and in the public eye.
It was a fun ride from 2009-2019!

Sincerely,
Barry Egerter

I’m very pleased that you did find this forum and posted. Hope all goes well. Very thanks for this great app. I’m still using it every day even it is outdated a bit. Luckily I’m a iOS developer myself and can backup and restore the app on my new devices to use it without the AppStore.

Wow, thanks for the response Barry. Hands down this app was amazing, probably the best camera app on the iOS. It was incredibly stable, fluid, and worked.

Can you write more info? Have also devel acc, but don't have IPA of this SW for sign.

And I really don't understand the author, he got paid, the software works (I have it on my iPad and iPhone - both with iOS 15.4) and there is no need to work on it in any way. I have now bought 13 Pro and I am unlucky. It's incomprehensible to me.

Hello guys. I thought to write an instruction how I saved the app and install it on my new devices without needing installing from the Appstore.

This works only if you have installed the original App on one of you devices.

If you deleted it it is not downloadable from Apple AppStore anymore because it is disappeared.

Also I use the same Apple ID for each device and think is has to be on the same Apple ID

This works for me:
  • Download iMazing (trial) iMazing | iPhone, iPad & iPod Manager for Mac & PC and install and run
  • Connect iPhone iPad with LiveCams Pro app installed on it
  • Choose Backup later
  • Click on your device (left pane)
  • Click on ‘Manage Apps’ in second right pane
  • Click on ‘Library’ in top
  • Search for your app ( eg’ LiveCams’) in search field below
  • Right click on app an choose ‘Download to Library’
  • Fill in your Apple ID account and verify (maybe 2 factor authentication)
  • Click Done in right below
  • Connect you other device without the app
  • Choose backup later
  • Click on your device (left pane) on which you wan to install
  • Click on ‘Manage Apps’ in second right pane
  • Click on ‘Library’ in top
  • Search for your app ( eg’ LiveCams’) in search field below
  • Click on Install
  • Disconnect device

That’s it! Hope you can enjoy the app again.

I think, that if somebody have IPA file, is possible to resign and use (with devel free account 7 days, with devel $99 account - one year).

If you know how how properly resign an app. I tried in the past (years ago) with some other apps. I have an apple dev account.
Apps like iResign I used. Last time I did try it did not work. Maybe it did not use it correctly.

Too bad, I used it on a few clients' phones. and liked it and have recommended it in the past. Because I have a Blue Iris server at home both the wife (Android) and I (iOS) use the Blue Iris app on our phones.

I have used IP Cam Viewer Pro (by Robert Chou) with some success on an iPhone.
I have used IP Cam Viewer pro and have been very pleased. I haven’t found a camera that it cannot deal with. Also, Robert’s support is great!

Besides LiveCams Pro I’m using iVMS-4500 (not the HD version it’s old) because have also an Hikvision NVR connected to all cameras. This is also a good solution for me. I can also connect single cameras to it like my doorbell.

I have the app still installed on my ipad pro, but when I try to start it I get a message ‘You have to update the software to run it with this ios version‘. This happens at least from ios 14 to me. My iphone with ios 15 is running the app without trouble.
Anyone here who can help?
