Yeah, I think that's what I'll do when I'm ready to pull the trigger. We use HP EliteDesks here at work. They look almost identical to the ProDesk series. I wonder what the differences are? I think I'll look into that.

There is nothing inherently unstable about running BI in a virtual machine. The main problem is that it will be less efficient that way. There's the virtualization overhead adding on to an already resource-intensive application, plus the fact you need to pass through the iGPU to the VM to enable hardware acceleration, but that isn't a supported operation and it often doesn't work. You'll also be limiting BI's resources and thereby increasing the chance you'll max out the CPU or memory at unexpected times.
