Hi All,

Looking to buy a NVR and have been looking at Hikvision. I am looking for a 16 port and found these two: DS-7716NI-I4/16P and DS-7716NI-I4/16P(B) But after reading through them, I can't see what the difference is between them. Does anyone know? If the (B) is better/newer is it worth trying to find one to buy? Seems like I can find DS-7716NI-I4/16P on a bunch of sites, but DS-7716NI-I4/16P(B) is pretty scarce.

Thanks!!

It has been a long time since I looked at these but take a look on the back side where all the terminations are made. I think it is the B that has some extra inputs and outputs.

Thanks for the response Parley. I checked the datasheets again for both and looked at the back side/panel and they both have the identical picture/drawing.

However, I think I found at least one difference. The Decoding Format,: it looks like DS-7716NI-I4/16P(B) also supports H.265+. The DS-7716NI-I4/16P does not list that format. So, maybe that is the difference.....the (B) supports the H.265+

Now to figure out if it is worth it to try to find someone that is actually selling this NVR :)

I would be real surprised if any "I" series does not support 265+.

The “B” is a newer revision. I know that it has a second HDMI output, but I think there is a couple more differences but can’t remember

The (B) versions are always newer. They might have or might not have any specs difference, but it will have a newer manufacturing date than their non (B) counterparts.
