Most cards will work just fine as long as you are only recording on motion. If you record continuously, you may wear out a card in a few months, or a year or two.
It is hard to say if it will make any difference, but Sandisk and Transcend both sell what they call "High Endurance" cards specifically for video monitoring applications.
Generally, the larger the card's capacity, the longer it will last under a heavy load like continuous recording, because more capacity means that each physical bit of memory won't have to be overwritten as often.
