What's distorted about it?

I'm thinking it's the day/night switch, kind of looks like it's on the nighttime focus during the day. The little strip of purple on the left looks like an IR cut filter that may be sticking a little.

Lots more info needed.
What do you use to record?
How are the cameras connected to the recording device?
Model number of recording device?
dahua NVR5216-19P-4KS2E
connected to a POE switch thats connected to NVR
camera is a dahua ipc-t3841t-zas

What's distorted about it?
look at the pictures side by side, look at the door numbers to start with, its fuzzy. sometimes its perfect sometimes its fuzzy

Can try turning off AI SSA in image settings if it supports it or WDR. Looks WDR related.

That's a good catch. Get on the camera and try forcing B&W / Color along with IR cut a few times. See if the strip moves or goes away.

could be switching from Substream to mainstream because of sensed motion. try turning down motion sensitivity maybe?

Does the double vision persist? Like it is on video for minutes or at least many seconds? Or is it just a frame or two?
