Have this one bullet camera on my shed. Anyone else have this issue? Fresh from all the snow these past 2 days in New Englandshed.jpg

As that camera does not have a wiper, I think the only fix is to prevent snow from landing on the front of the camera in the first place.

One of my LPR cameras is right in snowblower chute way if I’m not careful. I’ve had to brush it off a couple times. Could you fashion a shield over it? Like an extended sunshield to keep falling snow from hitting the lens?

Since it's a bullet I'm thinking:
  • Get an empty round, soft plastic bottle, white if desired. (I had an empty dietary fiber bottle that would likely be perfect).
  • Get a sharp box cutter or Stanley razor knife and CAREFULLY.....
  • Cut off bottom
  • Cut off neck
  • Now switch to good scissors and.....
  • Cut in half , down one side from neck to bottom, then do the same on the opposite side
  • Cut more of length to suit.
  • Cut more off one side to suit
  • Affix to top of cam with 2 nylon zip ties, one at rear, one near lens.
  • Done
If you screw it up...no worries!
