When len(s) should I get?

These are the two angles I'd like to record with my IP cameras. They're both shot on an iPhone with a 35m equivalent lens and in roughly the same place I'd like to position the camera (but under the soffit and not through the window).

The first shot with the front door and car, that angle I'm happy with. The second photo with the open screen door, I'd like that to be a bit wider (I have a big window right next to it).

Should I go with 2.8 lens in both cases? Or 4mm for the front, and 2.8m for the back?

Front door, 4mm will give you great face shots as people approach your door. If you get 2.8mm you'll be able to see further right... but why?

Rear 2.8mm would be best to get mostly everything in. 4mm will be too focused.
