I get the same on 2 cameras here... one in the morning and the other in the evening... they are mounted under soffits... when that's where you want to aim the camera and the sun maybe low in the sky at some point, what can you do? No visor would work for me... just have to live with it for the 20 minutes or so?

How'd you run it under the road or is it in the air?
I believe I'm correct in saying the cam is viewing a house across the street, from bigredfish's house....that's not his house being viewed.

I think you are correct, I was just thinking about the cam that is on a tree aimed at my house at the time. I'm probably one of the few who has a camera looking at my house.

Here is a PTZ picture from this morning with a view toward the east/southeast. Depending on the time of the year, it can be much worse for a short while.

My neighbor, when he was alive, wanted me to point one of my cams at his house. I told him the cams were for my security not his.
