I have a Dahua turret camera as well as a couple mounting options.
I am struggling to work out best spot to position this corner camera. In reference to below photo:
  • 1 & 2 are the corner of my property, 2 being the shared wall, other side is neighbours garage,
  • On other side of this photo, is my property and this is what it looks like
  • Camera will be pointing at an angle to a separate driveway
  • Varifocal lens gives me some room to move
  • This land is along a rail track and graffiti/dumping rubbish is common
Best Position?

1. Using the wall mount bracket on #1 tin wall, facing out.
  • About 7ft, and I might be paranoid, but concerns over camera theft or vandalism.
2. Using either mount, flush against the edge of shared red wall
  • Waterproofing? Ethernet will have to be fed into side of mount and caulked. Can't feed through from neighbours garage.
3. Parapet? As per neighbours camera in background, fitting a parapet and using a pole mount. This seems like the right approach but would add cost to fitting.

Any thoughts on how you would go about fitting this corner?
