Which NVR should I buy for IPC-HFW3549T1 camera?

Most any of the Dahua NVRs will work. Id get a bigger one than you currently need to be able to add cameras.

The lite 4000 series will do the basics, the 5000 EI series for more AI features and horsepower for more cameras

Basically I don't want to lost any feature that camera offer. I mean IVS, motion detection, etc. So 5000 series will be ok and even more that what camera can offer?

5000 series is the best way to go yes. It will work fine with most all Dahua cameras.

Rule of thumb is to make any setting that can be done on the camera, on the camera. Use the NVR interface primarily to set recording schedules and basic networking.

And NVR have better H265 support than camera? My camera have problems with fluid H265 playback.

Yes but I don’t recommend h.265 , it doesn’t really save much space as implemented by Dahua and will tax your system

Can I still access camera web interface through NVR? I noticed that NVR changed my camera IP adress to 10.x.x.x from 192.x.x.x

If my camera changed IP to 10.x.x.x then how to access it from DMSS app?

You access the nvr from DMSS, and it gives you channel #'s to enable

I have problem with Live playback. I choose camera and it looks like it want to play substrem by default. I have disabled substrem. How to set default view and parametrs so I don't have to choose camera and mainstream every time?

Probably browser/plugin issue.

Last question. I can't find. I can't download file through web interface? I don't see any download option or scissors icon. Only way to download is via PSS app?

My interface is little poorer than this on the picture.

Can't download mp4 from dahua nvr (but can dav)?

New dahua nvr. From IE on local network pc I can download recorded video only in dav format. Nothing happens if I select mp4 option. Why?

You MUST use IE browser to see the snip tools and others for download on the NVR GUI

Otherwise yes Use SmartPSS on a computer on the same network. Its a much better interface and more flexible for playback/download and live viewing.
* Just dont try to use it ti make setting changes. Use it is a live view/playback/download software and you'll find it much better than the NVR GUI for that.

On Windows 11 I have only edge.

Explorer is still there and there are ways to get Explorer again.

The simple way is to change the BHO folder to another name like oldBHO and BAM Explorer is back...and this thread also shows other ways...

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\110.0.1512.48\

Then change BHO to oldBHO or something else and Explorer will open

One more question. Can I unplug fan from NVR? Will it run too hot because of this? Where I can check temperature of NVR, HDD, etc.?

I have on a few, I left the cover off and had no issues..

Depending on where you place it unplugging it may kill it early lol

If it is too loud then replace the fan like many do with a nocturnal fan.
