I'll have nine POE cameras but may build up to 12 over time. Any reason why I should go with either of the 2nd two over the first one?

- I see that the 2nd one supports two HDMI (vs. 1), but I will not have this hooked up to multiple computers.
- And I see the 2nd one has space for up to 24TB instead of 12TB, with the 3rd having up to 48TB. Not sure how much TB I should plan for with 9-12 cameras?? I'm getting the HDW5231R-Z cameras.
- Finally the 3rd one supports RAID (whatever that is)

52A16: DHI-NVR52A16-16P-4KS2
54A16: DHI-NVR54A16-16P-4KS2
58A16: DHI-NVR58A16-16P-4KS2

Thanks!

its how many HDD's they can store
2x HDD's
4x HDD's
8x HDD's

you can put as big of disks as you want in em; how much retention time do you need.. 2x8TB disks would be more than enough for most setups.

Ive got 10TB and 8 cameras and have >3 weeks of continuous video..

Okay great - if that's the only difference then I'll just go with the 52A. Two weeks + would be totally fine for recording.

Nayr - Thanks again for the help. Do you have a specific brand/model of HDD that you recommend? Yesterday I finally received my NVR (52A16: DHI-NVR52A16-16P-4KS2) and nine cameras (Dahua Starlight Varifocal Turret). I'd like to get enough HDD space to get two weeks of continuous video. Thanks!
