Why did one of my logs that show age of camera have a starting day of 1970?

So I have seen this in some of my other cameras from Dahua. These are Alibi x 2 and a Uniview camera.. The one with most time is my PTZ. The one with 1970 is a Zoom Turret that before didn't let me export this data now all of a sudden it started to let me? First 2 are alibi cameras and the 3rd is Uniview.

Just wondering how is the one with bad starting date getting a good count, Is there anywhere in the export that I can find better time line?

Are those date stamps from a server or the camera itself? And you don't power your cameras 24/7/365?

If from the camera itself, since the camera does not have a CMOS battery backed RTC clock, it needs to acquire NTP time after booting up, which appears to fail synchronization.

January 1, 1970 Unix epoch time begins at 00:00:00 UTC/GMT. Basically, UNIX operating systems count time in seconds starting from midnight January 1, 1970 Greenwich Mean Time.

Do you configure the cameras to sync with a local NTP time server, or a public time server and block internet access for the cameras?

Was connecting to external time server that was connected to Alibi POE NVR, however when this was pulled it was on my local network and connected to it without changing the poe ip to my local ip so it didn't update from my local ntp server.

Logs are from export of the cameras, then have to unpack files to find data about the cameras like that, motor use and loads of files that one has to search through to find important things. Right now trying to find things that I can make a script to output important data and have it output data like my Amcrest cameras used to in life stats before the last update that removed that info and now only shows time online and updates all other data is gone.

Anyway thought it's keeping number of days it was alive even with bad date info thought maybe from different log file, my guess it's in some of the files that require a password to look at. Don't know why log files would be password protected.. Guess I keep digging through the files.

Thank you for your reply.
