Is the outside portion directly exposed to UV and moisture?

For cat5e you need the riser for the attic. The CMR rating is incase there is a fire. I ran this in Florida last month but I have spray foam insulation.

Shielded is more expensive but should help if there is electrical interference from power lines.

Some will say to run CAT6 if you can afford it.
