I recall some cop show in the last year or maybe last year where the SWAT or FBI tactical team were going to use such tech with some bad guys holed up in a building and at the time I must admit I was skeptical but apparently I was "behind the times".....which is happening more often lately.

That is sorta similar to how the found the Idaho shooter yesterday. I read that they monitored cell phone activity and looked for signals which were stationary which lead them to his location.
