The workstation is free to me, only purchase I have to make would be BI & WD Purple.

HP-Z440 (was a AutoCAD Workstation)
Intel Xeon CPU ES-1620 v3 @ 3.50GHz
64 Gb RAM
NVIDIA Quatro K2200

C Drive - Samsung 850 Pro 128Gb SSD (WIN10 & BI)
D Drive - Samsung 850 Pro 128Gb SSD (BI Database & FTP)

Yet to be purchased E Drive WD 4TB Purple

FTP will replace an old HP laptop used as an FTP for my cameras, currently keeping 45 days of Line Crossing and Intrusion Detection alerts.

Yes check power consumption, no intel HA, probably better off selling and replace it.

That's a nice machine that even used would costs more than $800 with that card.

Xeon ES-1620 v3 is roughly equivelant to i7 4700, which is a pretty respectable CPU and overkill for Blue Iris. I run Blue Iris on a lot older Xeons, and while they lack Intel HA and CPU consumption/power consumption is higher who cares.

Whish somebody gave me one.

Yes, it would work pretty well for BI, but it wouldn't be very efficient. Being in Canada probably makes it harder to get a great deal on a more efficient used system though.

ThanX folks.

Yes, If I were to buy a system, I would look at an Optiplex 7040 i5 that I can get reasonably. @bp2008 yea, a decent used up hear would run me about $400.

As for inefficient, even if this system had the smaller 500W power supply would be much more than the Optiplex.

But heck, I am running a Cisco 24 port 2960X, Eaton 5P 750 UPS and an older HP 6760 as an FTP Server. Not too worried about wasting power at the moment. ;)

Intel HA? Can someone explain? Quick internet search turned out Raid High Availability

The power supply wattage does not correlate with efficiency...
Intel Hardware acceleration for blueIris requires quick sync..
