WD produces this real time file. More dependable then WU. Takes WU out of the picture.

Cientraw.txt that Weather Display software for person weather station produces.
Weather Display updates this file every second from that persons PWS.

I see slow or incorrect temps from WU on my own station.

I have now found Tools locked up displaying a "waiting for WU" the past couple of days. I have to kill it in task manager each time.
While locked up in doubles CPU usage .

Windows 10 Intel I5 with plenty of RAM .
No Internet issues.

WU has not been dependable since the Weather Channel bought it .

The program should be timimg out after 30 seconds but isn't. I can send logs if needed.

You could do this with BIT's add-on system. You could create a batch file(s) to pull the data from Clientraw.txt and save it into other text files which BI uses for Macros. Use the weather_get handler in BIT and just put "none" for the weather station in BIT.

In the next version of BIT I will make "none" as a station ID be a trigger word to not attempt to get the weather from wunderground but still use the event handler, this way people could essentially use their own system if they create an add-on.

Has anyone done something to use the clientraw.txt as I'm also another user of Weather Display, and would far sooner utilise my own station data directly, than taking the 'long cut' of going via WU.

I too use WD and am interested in this. I use a .txt file created by WD for use in IPTimelapse - of course someone else developed it and helped me :) get it running.
