Bought from Amazon on 12/5/16 for $193.83. Works perfectly but ran out of ports so upgraded to the 16 port unit. $175 shipped.

This PoE switch is a significant step up from the basics. Primarily, it is manageable from the Unifi portal which is awesome if you have a Unifi ecosystem. Specifically to this unit, the SFP fiber backhaul is awesome (if you can use it). For a home network it is likely overkill.
 
I have all Unifi equipment in my house and love it, particularly the ability to isolate and firewall the cameras. That said, this is not much of a discount for a year-old switch.
