Zmodo & FunLux (I'm confused). Is this the same company?

Has Zmodo sold? Is FunLux a new company? It's all a bit confusing on who makes what anymore. Did Zmodo actually make their own cameras?

A little cam history would be great. I've been told that only a few companies actually make the actual cameras. Is this actually true?

Don't know either one, but the above suggests at first glance zmodo is filing for the funlux trademark name and trying to expand in automation and alarm.

Not the worst name. Short. Easy to remember. And you have to really factor that it can't have been trademarked before, so new choices are limited.
