Good Morning guys,

I had been having trouble with my Zosi IPC-2615D and Zosi 1828D working together. So I attempted to update the firmware on the IPC-2615D. After updating I must of chose the wrong firmware because the camera will not come online. Is there a way to manually recovery the firmware.. I see lots of guys doing the recovery with Hikvision but I havnt seen any with Zosi

The Zosi 1828D kept disconnecting randomly and would go offline. At Random times the camera would come back online.

So I updated the firmware for the 1828d. Then i updated the firmware for the 2615d. Both are ip cameras I'm not using a nvr.

I would really like to get the 2615d working again. But don't know where to start.

Using searchtool v2 none of my cameras are being pinged..192.168.138.xxx

I feel like the firmware messed the boot loader or something up. When. I observed the Poe switch the LEDs on the switch port light up like it's communicating then the led turns off blinks 2 times then it keeps during this repeatly.

I have seen some guys recover the division cameras using python but I'm not sure it will work for zosi

Jeez, sorry 'bout that.

A little late for this but did you inspect the connections, try different cables, POE port, etc. before getting out that big firmware hammer?

I narrowed it down to being a issue with the 1828D it's self. I added a POE injector to the 1828D and it seems to have a good solid network connection now. But the 2615D are offline. I am trying to figure out the ip address of them using wireshark but ive been unsuccessful. Next I'm about to try to log into my router and see if I can spot the 2 cameras. I'm just hoping they are broadcasting some type of network so I can get them back.

After doing some research I attempted to recovery the firmware using the tftp method but my poe cam is not connecting to it. I tried changing my ip to the Zosi factory ip which is 192.168.138.x then used there search tool and that didnt work. Tried changing my ip to the ip range the camera was before the firmware which was 10.0.0.102. Still nothing.

Took the camera apart looking for some type of jumper to reset it and found nothing. Then tried plugging the cameras ethernet jack directly into my pc's ethernet port then running wireshark to see if I can see if the camera is looking for firmware. no luck here either

When I plug the cams into the pc nic it starts to communicate for about 10 secs then turns off then stays on 10 secs does this over and over.

Looks like I may have to try USB to TTL method.

Yes I tried connecting the cameras to other ports on the POE switch. On the POE switch the ports that the cameras connect to show activity for about 10 or more secs then the port goes off then comes back on over and over

The USB to Serial cable arrived yesterday. Was able to get a reponse using Putty and setting the rate to 112000. This is what im seeing now.

I set the IP address of my PC to 10.0.0.1 and setup a tftp server using tftpd and I never seen the camera connect to the server..

Anyone have any advice or anything that would help.

I have the original firmware which is a .img file andd I transferred the file to the cam using Ymodem it receives the file but no changes...

I was able to set the ip address and subnet on my cam..I am now getting a request to read file on the tftp server but it keeps looking for file name 'boot'..

uboot environment:

eth0 : phy status change : LINK=UP : DUPLEX=FULL : SPEED=100M

from the camera I can ping 10.0.0.111 which is my pc that is running the tftp server...if I go to the PC and ping the cam at 10.0.0.103 it's unreponsive until I go back uboot and run tftp boot
