I have just got one of these cameras which look decent for the cost.
I can install the camera onto Blue Iris, use the PTZ and all seems fine.
However, Blue Iris will not record any motion.
I have set up a red zone so anything should set it off. But it does not!
Any ideas?

Have you consulted BI's built-in "Help", specifically under "Cameras" => "The Motion Sensor" ?

Its just that I am unsure if the camera needs to go direct to NVR!
I know BI has one built in!

One of the major problems of "off brand" cameras is that they don't follow the settings you may enter into their configuration. With Blue Iris it is an important feature to have the camera send an iframe at the same rate that the frame rate is set to, IE frame rate of 15with an iframe rate of 15. This is displayed as a key frame of "1" in Blue Iris and is necessary for Blue Iris to be able to detect motion. It means a full frame is being sent every second.

May off brand cameras will vary the iframe rate and slow it down significantly, so that a full frame is sent every four, five or even higher seconds. Since Blue Iris starts its detection on a full frame that means the action can be over before a full frame is sent for Blue iris to process for motion.

Bottom line, check the settings in the web GUI in your camera.

All working now.
It seems that as soon as I created a section in "Motion Trigger" for Zone A, then the Red Zone was recording!!
And your recommendations have been taken onboard.

Hi Again, I never noticed till today!
None of the triggered motion videos have been sent to my NAS drive.
All my other cameras send without any problems!
I am using the same settings for all!
Any ideas?
