Tried searching before I posted here with no results. An older version from August comes up but my camera is running a newer version than that. Guess I should have asked if there is an updated version later than Nov 2018.

I posted in that thread and was told by Andy the firmware is not compatible. Not sure if that is correct as I do not understand if the firmware says works with 1831 why does not work with 1831EP.

You are putting a wrong model No. IPC-HFW1831C-PIR is using this one.

Are you saying that the IPC-HFW1831EP uses the same firmware as the IPC-HFW1831C-PIR?

I think the P on the model number on your camera might indicate that it shipped with PAL firmware.

From looking on the Dahua international website (and wopi82’s big review thread), looks like the model number is just IPC-HFW1831E.

The P means PAL, so the model is IPC-HFW1831E. Please use the IPC-HFW1831E firmware to update.

I cannot find the 1831E firmware. I see your thread that includes 1831 but not 1831E. Could you either post a link or email me the file.
