I believe it the path that Dahua is taking by getting rid of web GUI completely.
I am sure that it won't be long before we see web GUI is removed from A35 or the rest of their products. The web gui is pretty outdated since you need a activex plugin to even be able to view it so that why they are probably trying to gear toward to using apps to configure future cameras and hardwares to eliminate the need for installer to lug around a heavy laptop to configure the installation.
I am a service technician for a video conferencing company for 10 years now and still going. When I first started with them, I had to carry around heavy laptop and then about 5 years ago we finally started using tablet but today we use iPhone7 to pull up service ticket, contact tech field desk via app, configure all of our hardwares and to track our time and expenses. We do just about everything using with just a couple of app that can get quickly updated with newest manual or firmware for the hardwares we install.
I would not be surprise in near future once the older information generations that started with web and html dies out then website will be a thing of the past. Everything will be done via or on apps. Dahua probably trying to get an early start.
