AI Good and Bad

Even companies investing in AI are beginning to realize how expensive and counterproductive the technology is
Overtime, people will get dumb and dumber (not that this trend has already started)

When people imagine the existential threat of AI, they imagine Cyberdyne gaining awareness and destroying humanity, but that isn't the real threat.

At some point AI and robotics will be so autonomous that robots can build robots. A religion that teaches that all people not of the faith must die would leverage that technology to automate the demise of infidels.

The only counter would be AI that targets the threat.

Humanity may not yet have seen the bloodiest conflict yet, and I see no way to avoid it.

Indeed, especially if we hit a "multi-polar" world, where more power competition occurs.

Fable 5 Is Insane. I Vibe Coded Terminator Vision.

Jul 14, 2026 Mapping the World with Bilawal Sidhu
I vibe coded a defense tech style 4D shooting analysis system in my browser, from nothing but flat 2D video off Meta Ray-Bans, iPhones, and GoPros. Every shot tracked and classified as a hit or miss, every target mapped in 3D -- and a god's eye view replay of the whole range session you can fly a camera through, even seeing targets through walls. A swarm of AI agents powered by Fable 5 and Codex 5.6 did the heavy lifting while I slept. In this video, I give you the full recipe so you can turn your own 2D videos into 4D reconstructions.

USA made a major mistake helping China's tech industry advance so quickly.

I recall if US tech wanted to work in China they had to help create Chinese Tech Industry by making joint ventures where those connected to the CCP would own 51% + of the venture and complete transferring IP to China

While I understand the Chinese perspective, the USA really should have not jumped into this game so eagerly while the Chinese were doing industrial espionage to get trade secrets at the same time.

AI summary of this :

The U.S. tech industry and broader Western technology ecosystem facilitated China’s rise through joint ventures, offshoring supply chains, and technology transfer that provided China with capital, manufacturing know-how, and access to global markets.

  • Joint Ventures and Technology Transfer: From the 1980s to the 2000s, companies like General Motors and Johnson & Johnson entered China via joint ventures, providing the capital and technology while Chinese partners handled production, transforming China into a global manufacturing hub.
  • Supply Chain Offshoring: Western firms offshored low-wage production phases to China, bringing essential know-how and industrial processes. This "add-labor-and-stir" model allowed China to rapidly industrialize and capture a dominant share of global manufacturing value.
  • Talent and Infrastructure: U.S. firms helped train skilled engineers and created industrial clusters where Chinese workers acquired advanced manufacturing skills. This expertise later fueled domestic innovation in sectors like solar energy and electric vehicle batteries.
However, recent U.S. export controls on advanced semiconductors and AI chips have forced Chinese firms to accelerate domestic R&D, leading to the development of homegrown alternatives and reducing reliance on U.S. technology in the long term.

They did it for the $$$

OpenRouter .. not certain how many USA companies would actually allow the use OpenRouter, as that is a major security issue sending data to Chinese companies , or even companies which your company does not have a proper licensed relationship setup with regards to data security.

Probably a LOT of "shadow IT" or "shadow AI" going on

and YES, most certainly partially all of this a fault of the US Admin for shutting down access to Anthropic Fable as now it is clear on a whim the US Government can shutdown infrastructure companies rely on.
