Can BI be used the overwrite a full hard drive?

I don't have BI yet but as a newbe I'd like to know how much hard drive to buy for my server. If the video files can overwrite old files automaticly, then that would effect the size HD I would need. I'd also like to know if BI can be setup to make a mirror image of a HD to another HD; automatically? Continuously?

Yes you can not only set it to overwrite (which is a basic function of any VMS), but you can have different setting for distinct folders.
If you want to mirror image, that should be done using your pc's raid...but is unnecessary
