Good morning to all,

Yesterday evening, I've tried to update firmware for one of my camera : DS-2CD2632F-IS
It's a R0 model and then I downloaded the right firmware.

Firmware was updated successfully but remain blocked on "rebooting ...."
Since this time, I cannot reach anymore the camera. SADP don't see it anymore....

After 3 hours with this message, I've tried to restart the camera with the supply. But still not working ....

I really need your help. Thanks in advance for your help

After reading a lot of topics, i think I've certainly bricked one camera when doing the update. I bought this one by Amazon and camera came from China ... I've rode a topic to hard for me in this forum regarding research how to change somes files.

But I'm a newbee ....
Firstable was for this camera :
Firmware : V5.2.5 build 141201
Encoding : V5.0 build 140714

I've a second same camera with the same firmware/encoding that i've not updated. It would be very very appreciate if someone can give me all steps for how to copy the files from the running camera to the blocked camera. Peraphs that will solve the problem ...

What's going wrong. I've tried 2 differents firmware to go back to 5.2.5 and it don't want to go to end. Bellow log :

The confirmation of update never came .... please what can i do ? Is-it possible that for this time we cannot do the downgrader ?

Try to get it back to v5.3.0, the downgrader is v5.3.0 to v5.2.5 not v5.4.0

Have you a link for the firmware to choose (It's a chinese camera DS-2CD2632F-IS R0) ? I don't need expecially multi-language but i can work with english firmware.

I've downgrade like you say. This time I've the confirmation that Update was done (Infos given by TFTP server).
Then like explained, When this confirmation came, i closed TFTP Server and reboot the camera by down power but camera don't appear in SADP for example.

I've tried to connect directly to the camera like that :
configure the PC to use a compatible IP configuration
eg: address: 192.0.0.101 subnet mask: 255.255.0.0
Connect to http:// 192.0.0.64

I've tried with 192.0.0.164 in computer and same thing, cannot connect to the camera ....
I've done a reset for the camera and nothing too.

I've done in a computer in cmd.exe the command arp -a and camera don't appear ....

Edit 1 : I've tried with Fing (Iphone) and camera don't appear ...

Since trying to find a solution .....
I've tried to downgrade to 5.2.5 from this forum but tftp server stopped at transmit
Ive done same thing with 5.3.0 . Like said before notification of updated came . Then reboot but impossible to connect with browser / sadp ...
I can see the camera :

When i try to ping the ip, it's impossible ...

What can i do more ? Flash with a chinese firmware ? The 5.3.0 was download from Hikvision europe.
Chinese firmware require an account ...

I will try to flash with this firmware hoping that will firstable unbricked the camera ... Thanks for the link . I will give infos asap is done.

Though if it does work, it will be in Chinese.
The 5.4.0 firmware may have updated the bootloader, which may then prohibit a downgrade.
All these stupid tricks by Hikvision.

On the really useful 5.3.0 to 5.2.5 downgrader (1-line version), you might try changing the language of the firmware file with Hiiktools.
 
If i can with this firmware unblocked the camera, i will be happy.
If the camera return back, do you think my camera will accept the downgrade available on the topic "Custom Firmware Downgrader 5.3.0 Chinese to 5.2.5 English" ?

You've right, i dont really understand this politic from Hikvision....

When I try what was my first error 5.4.0 (asked on an other topic) :

I dont know what the camera is doing when i unplugged and plugged .... The IR leds are always in function ...
Only tftpserv can connect with it ...
Did the camera is really rebooting correctly to take the modifications ?, i dont know ....
And why it seems to accept Europe firmware and the camera is chinese ?
What can I try else ?

But my big mistake was to upgrade it to 5.4.0 when Google notifications stopped running. I'm neewbee with those cameras and I've asked before update if it was possible.....
I do it peraphs too quickly ...
With luck, I don't update the second camera .....

Hikvision know that they're are selling cameras all other the world .... What is the difference between CH and others cameras ? Material ?
Regarding serial number my camera seems to be chinesse and regarding tftp updater, camera seems to accept V 5.3.0 from HIKEuropa and don't update with version written in the box.

It's now 6 days, i'm looking on internet for a solution ... Is there now nothig to do ? Should I put the camera in trash can ? It costed me around 160€ ....

I've tried with the 2 link on the first post and for the too the process is not completed : confirmation of system updated don't come ....

There's no tool to see what the camera is doing ? And where is it blocked ?
 
I have the same problem as IL - MAFIOSO . I have the DS - 2CD2232 - I5 incorrectly updated to 5.4.0 and it destroyed it.
All tests with downgrader or ch / ml firmware failed. So the bootloader must have been upgraded or so. Ask for help!
