GeoFence and Push Notifications issues

Hi all,

My wife and I are using a Nexus 5X and 6P respectively and were receiving notifications up until a few weeks ago. Now, no push notifications are being received. I deleted both phones from the BI server and re-added them, but when I send a test push nothing is received. SMS is received just fine though.

The second issue is geofencing.. It's a complete hit or miss as to whether the phones will report the proper GPS coordinates so as to change the schedule. As an example, my wife is currently at the store, but it still shows that she's inside the fence (50m). Sometimes, opening the app will update the GPS and report the phone inside or out, but I'd prefer that this is done automatically without having to touch the phone. Does anyone know of any alternatives that are more reliable? i.e. NFC tags or on connect/disconnect from wifi?

There is a thread that links to a youtube video with a script for wifi....
make sure you give the BI app proper permissions on the phone and that you are not using any battery saving app..

Thanks for the reply Fenderman! I'll see if I can find the thread for the wifi script, but I've disabled all battery optimization and don't have any battery saving apps installed on my phone. I'm currently running Android 7.1.1 so I wonder if Doze is just killing it even though I've told it not to.
