did you leave it on a fixed shutter speed? might be too much light and its trying the iris in a cycle.. make sure its on auto-exposure.
Here is what the settings are. Not sure whats going on. I know something is trying to self adjust.

the reason I suggested plugging a computer directly into it is because GigE will auto-crossover and its pretty much fool proof.

for example my managed switch has security features and if I try to change my IP to a subnet thats not on that vlan I get errors telling me the IP is in use.. my desktop has 2 nic's and I have one already configured and just patch it through from my work bench.

try rebooting it, is the sun shining into it?

when I was testing I noticed this weird strobing effect and went out and found out it was in the shadow of a tree limb blowing

Upon review, I noticed the camera never switched out of Night/IR mode. When the sun began to blare on it, I guess it was trying to adjust and just could not handle the extreme light. Once I logged into the camera, it switched. Weird. I will reboot and hope for the best. I may be failing to understand the Day/Night settings screen. Perhaps I needed to leave the selection to normal. I understand Night and Day obviously but Normal? What time of the day is Normal? LOL

I just set all of mine to "normal" and"auto" and I have no issues.

You aren't joking about Amazon Prime! I received a tracking number on the 4th and it literally got here overnight. Camera was in my hands by 10:51am the next day. Free DHL shipping was crazy fast from Andy. I'll be buying again.

This is why you want free DHL Shipping from HongKong:

He's one hard working dude lemee tell ya, and he treats us right, I am only buying from him, he's very good with communication, I just send him a message and wait for the reply, remember the time difference from china if you live in the US, and they also do not have time zones over there, it's one time throughout all of china.

Mounting PFA137 on wood wall. I'm replacing a camera with a 5231 camera and using an PFA137 junction box. The current camera is just screwed into the wood with the pigtail going into a hole behind the mount. There doesn't appear to be anything sealing the mount against water except for some felt/thin rubber on the back. I'm not sure how to mount the junction box and seal it. Right now I plan to create a gasket from 1/16" thick rubber and also use some silicone sealant. If the hole in the wall is large enough I may put a short 2" piece of conduit on the back and also pack that with silicone sealant. Is this good enough or are there better ways? Thanks,

I'd screw it to the wood, and just run a bead of silicone around the junction box where it meets the wood, also,if you run the pigtail through the hole on the wood you could put some silicone round it to close up the hole, I think anything more than that would be unnecessary.
