Just a warning to all who might need a different junction box for your Dahua cameras. DO NOT waste your time ordering them locally. If you don't order them from Andy when you get your cameras, then just order from from another seller on Ali who ships using the 21 day ePacket.

I bought an almost new mini dome for my front door from a member on here; I need the PFA139 junction for that.
I inquired to one local reseller who said it was not in stock and would have to be ordered. I also inquired with JMAC Supply. They said they had 10 in stock, so I immediately ordered one. Over a week later, they finally admit that its backordered and it won't ship until Friday at the EARLIEST.
B&H Photo was the same deal; said it was in stock but it was not.

I don't think they're trying to be deceitful or dishonest (even though it does seem that way), but I think that nobody really stocks these locally. So just save yourself some markup and order it from Ali yourself.

That's a good reference; I also found the Dahua site lists the compatible boxes in the "accessories" section for each camera.

Is it me or are junction boxes too freaking expensive? 20 bucks or so for the damn things? Meh. Gotta be a cheaper way.

I had the same reaction as Shocwave199:

I modified an outdoor type electrical junction box for my dome. It contains the poe splitter and the external mic. The mic pokes out a hole I drilled in the side of the junction box.

The three mounting holes of the dome cam don't line up with the four threaded mounting holes that are part of the junction box. I used a blank cover for the junction box, and attached the cam using nuts/bolts through the mounting cover.

All in all, time consuming. When I was done, I said "I woulda paid $20 to avoid the labor of converting $10 of an electrical junction box" And that was for a simple dome. Large cams (eg: starlight) or bullets need more rigidity.....

We wouldn't need them at all for most cameras in most locations if the manufactures just made the damn base plate 1/2" taller so the wires and mated RJ45 could be tucked and hidden in there.

Hah, yes I agree. A lot of low tech things cost just as much as high tech things. $20 bucks could buy you a functioning android cell phone. New, not used!

Yeah it would be nice to have deeper backs to these ip cameras considering the connectors are large. And I have to agree about the time needed to fabricate verses buying new.

I ordered something from b&h that said backordered. It shipped 2 days later. So either my order came real close to their delivery or their inventory when ordering isnt accurate.

It's impossible to find local dahua dealers but dahua junction boxes are pretty easy to find on Amazon, even on prime.

No issues ordering them when they showed in stock on B&H. They arrived a few days later.

Same experience here with B&H. J-Box & Corner Mount. Two different orders. Showed in stock, and arrived next day. I'm in NY though, 4 hours away.
