I'm new to this app and thus far pretty happy with the live feeds but, I'm not seeing any alerts and I'm not seeing any clips.

I do get 'notifications' to the phone. My alert list is empty and shows nothing at all regardless of whether I get a 'notification' from any cam. Of course they do generate a clip on my PC....but not on my phone.

Any ideas?

P.S. I think I see similar problems in the Iphone app forum. One says he gets the 'pinwheel' of death. Says it used to work??

this is likely because the users is not admin and or does not have permissions to view recorded video...check user settings in blue iris options >users...the app is fine

It says admin in users and there's a checkmark next to the username. The username matches what I used in the mobile app, 'injunear'....

I'm there now. The only thing I see is that it wasn't checked in the settings. I'm testing now....

Nope, still no 'Alerts' shown on the phone.....I did get an alert symbol next to the cam live feed though, but nothing in the list. The log shows there was an alert. I logged off, then back on and still nothing....The "Boss" tells me enough already, we have to go. I'll get back onto this later.

Thanks
Bob T.

Thanks

Question: Is there a way to forward, or email, these clips stored on the phone?
I don't have a clue where they're stored on the phone.

Oh, I got that idea from looking at the little red recording icon on the screen. Guess that's what's happening on the PC. Makes sense though.
So if one's on the road then the only way to email a clip to say the police would be to remotely access the PC and do it from there. Got it....

You can use the snapshot or record button to record to your phone..it's s manual process.... I assure you that you will never have to email cops from the road...

Snapshot and record work in real time only. Why do you say that I will never have to email when on the road? When I say 'on the road' I mean travelling.....I travel to D.C. and sometimes to see friends in Virginia.
If there were some activity going on that's been saved to a clip I wouldn't hesitate to call the police and send them the clip.
I live in a gated community with an open gold course and there's plenty of burglaries here in this community.
I would notify them of any suspicious activity because people shouldn't be on my property under any circumstances after 6 pm or so and earlier than that they should only be groundskeepers. Anyone else is a bad guy.
Of course I have an alarm system too that notifies me via phone.
You only have to have your 'stuff' stolen once while away, as I did, to become overly cautious.....They do a lot of damage too. It's also a PITA to get someone over there to secure the premises until you get back....

Doubt the police will ask you to email anything...it's not how they work...if it's that serious you can spend the two minutes and record it to your phone. .or log in remotely.... emailing police happens well after the fact and mostly on tv...

While Playing the clip back, click the film button, and it will record the video to your phone, that you could email if you want.

Well, having played with this app for a few days now I can say that there are bugs in it and one is that the ALERTS list never populates. The only way to see the clips is via the calendar icon. Not a complaint because this is 1000% better than what I had before.

I just installed this app on my wifes Ipad and it appears the opposite is true on the ipad: the ALERTS work but the calendar icon results in just a spinning pinwheel.....

Oh, and as an aside. Does anyone know how to assign a name to the server?
Mine says 'unnamed' server and the one for the ipad is 'new server'....these are the default names.

Got it. It was in the camera property settings under record tab. Needs to have 'create alert list when triggered' checked.....
Works now...

Thanks again.
