I was wondering if anyone has a hikvision bullet or dome mounted in the middle of their driveway so that I can get an idea of the camera view? Neighbor wants cams installed, but budget will only allow one cam covering driveway. He lives on beginning end of cul de sac and if I mount cam on left side, then no view of people or vehicles entering only passing and leaving. If on right side I get good view of people and vehicles entering, but lose close view of anything coming up his driveway and to front door.

This is a 3mp hikvision turret with array IR on the center of the garage down the driveway. It's a 4mm lens. And yes, I install hikvision for my boss once in awhile.

@vector18, is that turret set to 1080p? It looks like it is...blake, not that the hikvisions provide a wider FOV when in 2mp vs 3mp mode...

Thanks guys! I just couldnt decide whether to mount driveway cam in middle of garage over garage door or off to the side to best suit customer since they cant afford a cam on both sides of garage.

That looks like 2mp to me though...because 1.3mp would produce a 4:3 image...although the phone substream could be different...

I do like the hik cameras, I just dislike their software and sooo used to Dahua.

Aspect ratios & number of mp aside.... My wife just wishes our cams showed an area that was as nice and tidy

Thats what I figured. Going to either have to go with a wider lense or two cams. I would prefer two cams but we'll see.
